Homelessness in Orange County is now a crisis. Tuesday a federal judge threatened to bar the governments from enforcing anti-camping ordinances if officials cannot create temporary shelters for hundreds being swept out of tent cities.

The county has been working for the past several weeks to find a location to place shelters and homeless camps after breaking up an encampment along the Santa Ana River. A plan to place temporary shelters in Irvine, Laguna Niguel, and Huntington Beach were squashed when residents protested. The problem will get worse. City officials plane clear out another tent city at the Santa Ana Civic Center.

As you can see in the picture local governments are doing their best to make it illegal to be homeless and trying to make it even harder for our homeless friends to find any place to sleep.
